Even More Change
Unfortunately, my first camera - the Canon EOS Rebel T7 - finally bit the dust. I really loved that camera and I brought it everywhere with me. It was the camera that taught me the fundamentals, that got me out of the house, and that encouraged me to dive further into this hobby. That camera taught me to notice the way that light was interacting with the world around me, and it gave me the chance to document special family moments. I will miss my Canon, and I will always be grateful for everything it gave me.
Now, however, is time to start a new chapter. I’m on a budget and still not skilled enough for some of the most advanced cameras, nor am I a professional with a need for something as advanced as a Sony a7V or a Nikon Z9. As a result, I’ve decided to move over to a new Nikon Z50 II, which has shown me that my understanding of photography was limited at best. I have so much to learn from this new camera, and about photography generally, and I’m so excited! I’ve had this Z50 II for less than a week and these are some of the first photos I’ve made with it. I’m really impressed with the sharpness of most of these images and I can’t wait to see what I can do with this once I build my knowledge base a bit more. So far, it’s a brilliant, lightweight camera with capabilities beyond anything I even knew existed a few months ago. Here’s hoping I can really take advantage of this thing and up my game.
